Instruction in networking technologies and their implementation. Topics include the OSI reference model, network protocols, transmission media, and networking hardware and software. Introduces the principles and structure of switching, routing, and IP subnet numbering. Students build and troubleshoot a small network. Students prepare for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam.
Prerequisite(s): Eligible to enroll in ENGL 0301 and ENGL 1301 and a math co-requisite support course.
