Integration of previous knowledge and skills related to common adult health needs into the continued development of the professional nurse as a provider of care, coordinator of care, and member of a profession in the care of adult clients/families in structured health care settings with complex medical-surgical health care needs associated with each body system. Emphasis on knowledge, judgments, skills, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. Content includes applicable DEC competencies.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program and Prerequisites: RNSG 1413, RNSG 1260, RNSG 1200, RNSG 1301, RNSG 1441, RNSG 1261, RNSG 2213, RNSG 1160. Concurrent enrollment in RNSG 2361 (Complex Concepts of Adult Health Clinical) is required. Satisfactory completion of both theory and clinical components is required for progression.
