This program leading to an Associate of Applied Science Degree prepares students for licensure as Texas peace officers. It is not designed for transfer to a four-year university. Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree should see an advisor prior to registration. Entry and continued participation in this program are restricted to persons who meet the eligibility requirements set out in Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Rules §217.1, Minimum Standards for Enrollment and Initial Licensure.
