Cosmetology - Nail Technology, Certificate

(Offered at Kilgore College-Longview)

The Nail Technology certificate prepares students to take the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation examination for the manicuring license. Classes begin in August and the following May.

First Year

First Semester

CSME 1430 (NT) - Orientation to Nail Technology
CSME 1431 (NT) - Principles of Nail Technology I

Semester Hours: 8

Second Semester

CSME 1441 (NT) - Principles of Nail Technology II
CSME 2430 (NT) - Nail Enhancement *

Semester Hours: 8

Total Hours: 16

Note:

** Capstone Experience.

A student who completes the required courses with an overall average of C may receive a Certificate of Completion in Nail Technology.
