RNSG 1260 (NT) - Clinical Foundations of Nursing Practice

A health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. This beginning level course helps students synthesize new knowledge, apply previous knowledge, & gain experience managing workflow. Practical experience is simultaneously related to theory. Close and/or direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional (faculty), generally in a clinical setting. Content includes applicable DEC competencies.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program. Concurrent enrollment in RNSG 1413 (Foundations of Nursing Practice) is required. Successful completion of both theory and clinical courses is required for progression.
